With the holidays just around the corner, the busiest time of the year is quickly approaching, and for some of us, it is already here. The best advice I have ever received was to “Take things one day at a time and appreciate where you are now in life.”

Many of us, especially college students, get so submerged in planning our future and our next step that we don’t take the time to appreciate all the wonderful things our daily lives offer. Whether you are cramming for exams, working in the show barn, or struggling to find the perfect Christmas gifts, take life one day at a time, appreciate what is happening in your life now, and be grateful for those things.

With that being said, this upcoming holiday and show season, take the time to appreciate being surrounded by family, friends, and good show cattle and always remember that the future comes one day at a time.
