Change – it is inevitable, and it is against human nature to accept it. Change is not defined as an event, but it is defined as a psychological experience and that is what makes it so difficult to accept. Change is always inevitable. There is nothing in this world that will stop change from happening. The reason why humans do not like accepting change is because it causes our brains to adapt to the adjustments occurring in our lives.

For many, showing cattle is all about the people you meet, and the connections you make. This show season, take the extra step and the opportunity to change the way you think, and branch out to meet as many new people as possible! You may even learn new things from other great people working in this industry. Always remember this great quote from Frank Zappa: “A mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work if it is not open.”

Moving forward, don’t look at changes as a negative thing. Always find positivity in each situation and take the time to keep an open mind because you might find that you’ll learn something new or make a new friend. Think about all the new opportunities you could set yourself up for by just being accepting of change and having an open mind!
